Cade's Goals — This Season Into Next
A working sheet, not a wish list. Each goal has a way to tell if it's actually happening — a goal you can't measure is just a hope.
Score from every position — not just one shot.
Why it matters: the strength and toughness are already there; being one-dimensional is what good wrestlers exploit.
- How we'll know: a match where he scores from his feet, off the bottom, and in a scramble.
- This week: set up every shot; a stand-up every time on the bottom.
A set-up shot with a second attack.
- How we'll know: his double lands on a kid who stuffed it before, or he chains to a second shot when it's defended.
- This week: hand-fight-to-the-shot and chain-wrestling reps.
Get off the bottom.
- How we'll know: he scores an escape instead of getting ridden out for the period.
- This week: stand-up reps under a live ride.
Win the third period.
- How we'll know: a match where he's tired and even, and keeps attacking to score late instead of surviving.
- This week: grind rounds — start tired, keep attacking.
The one that isn't a skill
Don't quit when it's hard.
- How we'll know: a match that's not going his way where he keeps wrestling offense instead of deflating.
- Nobody claps for this one. It's the habit underneath every other goal on the page.
Pick one target every time he wrestles or drills, put a number on it, and chase it. The goals don't move — the evidence stacks up.
