Aiden’s drill library

A real one, built for one lacrosse kid from everything the parent had shared. Nothing here is demo copy.

Drill Library

Aiden's Drill Library

A pull-from-anytime set, sorted by what it builds. Pick two or three per session — don't run them all.

Stick skills — both hands

Wall Ball — Both Hands

Throw and catch off a wall, right then left, with the left count forced to match the right. The free-throw of lacrosse — the boring rep that separates players.

Coaching Cue

Cue: "Soft hands, quick release — even counts."

Off-Hand Wall Ball

Left hand only, no bailing to the strong hand. Ugly at first; reps are the only fix. A one-handed player is a solved problem for a good defender.

Coaching Cue

Cue: "Left only — ugly is fine."

Dodging & finishing

Off-Hand Dodge and Finish

Cone set to force him left; he dodges and finishes with the off-hand, stick protected. Builds the confidence to choose the left lane in a game.

Coaching Cue

Cue: "Protect the stick, dodge left, finish left."

Shooting

Corners, Not Cannons

Target the low corners; a placed shot at three-quarter pace beats a cannon over the cage. Placement scores, power doesn't.

Coaching Cue

Cue: "Pick a corner, low and away."

Off the ball

V-Cut and Give-and-Go

Pass, then sharp-cut to get open for the return — never stand and watch. Builds the instinct to be a threat without the ball.

Coaching Cue

Cue: "Pass and cut."

Loose balls

Ground Balls

Scoop through the ball with a low base and protect it right into a cradle — lacrosse is won on the ground balls nobody notices.

Coaching Cue

Cue: "Butt down, scoop through it, protect it."

Building a session: wall ball to warm up, one off-hand block, one shooting block, and something off-ball or competitive to close. Rotate which leads so no part of his game goes stale.
