Sofia's Goals — This Season Into Next
A working sheet, not a wish list. Each goal has a way to tell if it's actually happening — a goal you can't measure is just a hope.
Make the scores match the difficulty — win with clean, not just hard.
Why it matters: the power and courage are already there; execution deductions are quietly costing her more than difficulty earns.
- How we'll know: a meet where she out-scores easier routines by being clean.
- This week: point the toes and stick the landings on every skill.
Clean form on everything.
- How we'll know: a coach or judge notes cleaner lines — pointed toes, straight legs, chest up.
- This week: home shaping and flexibility daily; clean reps over landed reps.
Stick the landings.
- How we'll know: fewer big-step deductions — chest up, feet together, stuck.
- This week: chest-up landing focus on every skill.
Compete beam like she trains it.
- How we'll know: a meet beam routine that looks like her practice beam — fights the wobbles, doesn't fall.
- This week: compete-the-routine reps; visualization before beam.
Work through the block — no pressure.
- How we'll know: progress on the stuck skill through her coach's progressions, not a forced "just do it."
- Nobody claps for this one, and it can't be rushed. Patience is the whole strategy.
Pick one target every time she trains or competes, put a number on it, and chase it. The goals don't move — the evidence stacks up. (And the block moves on its own timeline — that's normal.)
