A pull-from-anytime set, sorted by what it builds. Pick two or three per session — don't chase them all. (The at-home ones are marked; skill work stays with her coach.)
Form & shaping (home + gym)
Shaping and Flexibility (home)
Hollow and arch holds, wall handstands with a tight line and pointed toes, splits and bridges. Gymnastics is judged on shapes — this is the raw material of every score.
Coaching Cue
Cue: "Point everything, squeeze everything — hold the shape."
Skills With Deductions in Mind (gym)
On skills she has, focus on the form judges want — pointed toes, straight legs, chest up, stuck landings. A clean rep counts; a sloppy landed one doesn't.
Coaching Cue
Cue: "Land it clean or it doesn't count."
Compete the Routine (gym)
Run the full routine like a meet — salute to dismount, no restarts, fight the wobbles. The more practice looks like a meet, the more a meet feels like practice.
Coaching Cue
Cue: "One shot, salute to dismount."
Visualization — compete a full meet in her head, clean and confident, sticking landings. Gymnasts who visualize arrive having already "done" it.
Coaching Cue
Cue: "Compete the whole meet in your head."
Progressions, Not Pressure (gym, coach-led)
Break the stuck skill into safe pieces and rebuild confidence, with spotting and drills — never force. A block is fear, and fear responds to patience, not pressure.
Coaching Cue
Cue: "One safe piece at a time."
Building a session: home shaping and flexibility daily, form focus and compete-the-routine at the gym, and visualization to close. The block is her coach's to work; the parent's job is patience.
